Who am I?

Creativity and wellbeing are my passions.

Supporting others to incorporate art into their lives as a way of combating anxiety and stress is something very important to me.

I have been an art teacher for more than 20 years, and for many years, staff wellbeing has been at the forefront of my thinking. My workshops allow individuals to explore art at their own level of expertise whilst demonstrating how simple art activities can assist in building resilience in the workplace.

Wellbeing Activities

Engaging in art-based activities has been shown to improve mental wellbeing and resilience. Being able to incorporate some of these activities into your work environment could be a way to improve staff engagement and increase their coping mechanisms.

Each workshop begins with two carefully selected wellbeing activities designed to help participants relax, focus, and ease into a creative mindset. These opening exercises set the tone for the session, allowing individuals to let go of stress, connect with the present moment, and awaken their creativity before diving into the artmaking process.

The wellbeing activities vary depending on the needs of the group, but they are all thoughtfully designed to enhance mindfulness, encourage self-reflection, and promote a sense of calm.

Wellbeing Workshops

Unwind, explore and express yourself in the 3hour Wellbeing Workshop. Whether you're a seasoned artist or picking up a pencil for the first time, this session is designed to help you tap into your creativity, reduce stress, and cultivate mindfulness through simple yet powerful drawing exercises.

These sessions are not about skill or perfection but rather about the experience of creating, allowing each individual to let go of stress and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of art.

Ideal for workplace wellbeing programs, team bonding, or simply a creative retreat from the pressures of daily life, these workshops provide a nurturing space for inspiration, connection, and personal growth.

Painting Workshops

Immerse yourself in a relaxing and creative experience with my painting workshop. This session is designed to help you explore self-expression, reduce stress, and embrace mindfulness through the soothing power of paint.

During this 3hour workshop participants create their own individual acrylic painting. This is a great way to relax and enjoy some time with your friends and colleagues. Everyone will have the opportunity to choose their own inspirational image from those supplied and then, I will guide you through some simple techniques that will assist you in unlocking your creative side.

Some thematic ideas for your workshop could include:

  • Bird portraits

  • Sea creatures

  • African animal portraits

All painting supplies and equipment for the workshop are provided and brought to your premises.

Drawing Workshops

Take a break from the everyday and immerse yourself in a relaxing, creative experience in this 3hour wellbeing drawing workshop. You’ll have the chance to experiment with a variety of art materials—from colored pencils and pastels to watercolors and gel pens—to create your own unique artwork.

A selection of inspiring images will be available to choose from, with varying levels of detail to suit all skill levels. Once your piece is complete, it will be mounted and framed, ready for you to take home as a reminder of your creative journey.

These workshops offer your team a chance to truly slow down, unwind, and reconnect through the power of creativity. You will explore a variety of longer, more in-depth wellbeing artmaking activities, designed to encourage relaxation, mindfulness, and self-expression.

Using gentle prompts, mindful techniques, and a welcoming atmosphere, you'll discover how art can be a tool for relaxation, self-discovery, and emotional wellbeing. No artistic experience is needed—just an open mind and a willingness to explore!

Wellbeing activities

Each workshop starts with 2 different wellbeing activities. Here are some of the amazing examples from some of my workshops.

These activities create a safe, welcoming space for participants to slow down, be present, and connect with their inner creativity. By starting with these gentle wellbeing exercises, the workshops ensure that participants feel relaxed, inspired, and open to artistic exploration, making the experience even more meaningful and rewarding.

Minibeast Drawing Workshop

This was a fun workshop for a group of primary school teachers. It was inspired by one of their programs at school.

Flower Painting workshop

This small workshop had a range of skill levels from novice to advanced. The images supplied allowed everyone to create a really successful artwork that they were happy with.

Landscape Painting Workshop

A group of health professionals needed to incorporate some me time into their schedules and so they booked this intimate workshop in the mountains.
